Extremity Adjusting
Involves adjusting joints besides the joints in the spine, such as the jaw, ribs, shoulder, elbow, wrist, hand, fingers, hip, knee, ankle, foot, and toes. We have found extremity adjusting to be helpful for athletes in training, tennis elbow, shoulder and knee pain, carpal tunnel syndrome and plantar fascitis.
Sports and Extremity Adjusting
The use of extremity adjusting in conjunction with the adjustment of the spine is a powerful tool when working with athletes. Typically, when the joints of the arms and legs are out of alignment some muscle imbalances will occur. When these joints are adjusted these weak muscles becomes strong and the athlete has a marked improvement in performance. In addition, the athlete is less likely to be plagued with injuries caused by imbalanced movements.
